CHEMISTRY CLASS just ended which meant lunch was beginning. brina grabbed her books while chris, penelope, and gavin waited on her.
"okay, ready?" brina asked them. they nodded in response and she lead the way out of the double doors so they could wait for the rest of the group.
chris scrolled on his phone as he waited for the others to arrive at brina's car, penelope, gavin, and brina doing the same.
finally, after waiting on them for what felt like forever, nick, matt, parker, ryah, and kenzie walked outside and got into brina's car.
"let's go, i wanna see aurora." kenzie says excitedly. brina started the car, pulling out of the parking lot.
chris glanced over at brina who was paying attention to the road. he knew she didn't like car rides without a song playing, so he grabbed his phone out of his pocket and plugged the aux cord into his phone.
he scrolled through his playlist until he finally found a song brina liked, clicking on it and waiting for brina to realize what song was on. it was Maria by justin bieber.

She was schemin', ooh, she was wrongbrina absolutely loved young justin bieber. if she could chose any artist when they were younger, she would chose justin bieber with zero hesitation.
chris knew this because when he would go over to her house to do the project for miss green, she would always be playing a justin bieber song. it didn't matter what song it was, she knew it word-for-word.
wether it was his most popular songs or his most unknown ones, she loved it and she could sing it without missing one word.
chris always waited until he knocked on her bedroom door just so he could hear her listening to a justin bieber song, and when he knocked she would pause it until she seen it was chris then she would unpause it and begin singing it again.
he liked justin bieber but definitely not as much as brina did. he could really only sing baby without missing a word but brina could do any song.
she also loved one direction and could sing any of their songs. chris liked one direction but nick also played it nonstop so it got annoying at times.

"come on, aurora's waiting, chris." brina tapped his shoulder to get his attention before getting out of the car. she tapped her keys to lock her car door, her friends following behind her.
the ring of the bell above the double doors were heard, catching aurora's attention. she turned to see sabrina beside of a taller, brown haired boy who smiled at her almost immediately.
aurora smiled and excused herself from the couple she was speaking to, walking over to sabrina. she hugged brina swiftly before looking at the others behind her.
she could only identify mackenzie harper, gavin anderson, and penelope jackson. the rest of them, she had no clue of who they were.
"hi, aurora!" kenzie embraced aurora with a smile, gavin and penelope joining in.
"hello! have a seat!" aurora said once they all pulled away, pointing at a U shaped booth big enough to fit them all. "introduce yourselves, i don't bite."
"i'm matt,"
"i'm nick,"
"i'm ryah,"
"i'm parker,"
"and i'm assuming you're chris the boyfriend?the one sabrina called 'pretty cute'? you weren't lying, dear." she looked over at brina before turning back over to chris and whispering to him. "keep her safe, dear."
"i will, miss aurora." chris says, making her wave him off.
"call me aurora, darling. what can i get you all?" aurora asks, holding the paper in her hand and the pen in her other.
each teenager told her their order with a smile while she wrote everything down, "just a few minutes, i'll be right back!"
they all smiled as aurora walked away, turning to begin their own conversations. chris looked over at brina and smirked.
"so i'm pretty cute, huh?" chris asks, earning a playful slap on his shoulder from brina. "it's alright, baby. you're pretty cute yourself."
a red tint washed over the girls cheeks, causing chris to smirk even more than he already was.
chris watched as the girl looked around the diner, making eye contact with different people. eventually, she got bored of looking around and looked over at chris.
"take this," brina held out her hand which had one of her airpods in it. chris took it and put it in his ear, hearing the sound of i wanna be yours by arctic monkeys playing.

Wanna be yourshe scrolled on his phone as the song played loudly in his ears. aurora came over to them which made brina take their airpods out and put them in the case, listening to aurora.
"you guys enjoy and say bye before you leave." aurora says, handing them their food.
"wait, aurora, here-" brina holds out a 20 dollar bill before getting interrupted.
"no, hon. seeing you was enough, i don't need money. i got this diner because henry would want me to." aurora says, waving her off with a smile.
"he would be so happy, aurora." brina says, smiling at her while she walks away.
"i might leave you for aurora, kenz." parker tells his girlfriend with a laugh.
"i might leave you for aurora. she's pretty cute," kenzie jokes with a laugh.
"i love aurora, bri. thank you for bringing us," nick says, smiling. "can we all go to sierra iris' party tonight?"
"it's thursday, nick." matt reminds his brother, taking a bite of his pizza.
"yeah i know, albert einstein. it doesn't matter, we can just skip tomorrow." nick suggests.
"i'm down, i haven't been to a party since last friday." kenzie says.
"last friday night, yeah we danced on table tops and we took to many shots think we kissed but i forgot," parker sings under his breath.
"parker's a katy perry stan." brina says with a smile, causing parker to reach over and slap her arm.
"am not."
"are so."
"i am not."
"you are so."
"shut up, kids!" ryah tells them, rolling her eyes. "i'm down to go."
"me too," brina says, looking over at chris for an answer.
"yeah i'm down," chris nods, eating another fry from his plate.
"sh*t it's almost time for fourth period, come on guys." brina says, throwing her trash away which everyone else does.
they say their goodbyes to aurora and arrive back at school.
